Story
Hi there!
I’m fundraising in memory of my beautiful grandma, Teresa Leaper, who lost her battle with Pancreatic cancer on the 12th of November, 2017 - exactly one month after diagnosis.
I will be shaving my head in order to raise money to donate to the PANCARE Foundation. PANCARE is a not for profit organisation created to support research which will hopefully lead to increases in survival rates and assist individuals who have been affected by pancreatic cancer and other upper gastrointestinal cancers.
This year alone, it is estimated that 3000 men and women will die from pancreatic cancer, one of the deadliest cancers. Currently, with limited funding and awareness of the cancer, the chance of surviving up to 5 years is only 7% with more than 95% of sufferers dying within the first 12 months. You can support my efforts by making a secure online donation which will be directed to research to help find a cure for this deadly cancer and help those who are suffering and their families.
