In Memory of Lucy Josephine Hicks

Story

On 13 April 2011, Peter and I had a stillborn baby girl named Lucy Josephine Hicks.  I was full term in my pregnancy.  While I was in hospital, I recieved a memory box for Lucy which was donated in the memory of another stillborn child in Australia.  The box has become a great comfort to myself and Peter during the last few months and holds all our memories of Lucy.  The box also included a candle, photo frame, angel ornament, a blank canvas for foot and hand prints, knitted booties and a baby blanket.  The person responsible for the memory boxes will be joining me in fundraising for these boxes and we are going into the local paper next week.

In the meanwhile, Pete and I were wondering if you would like to make a donation for a box (only $40) in memory of Lucy Hicks. The boxes with her name will be distributed to other families who have gone through such a tragic loss.  In WA, there are 200 stillborn babies born each year and, in our local town, Kalgoorlie, there are  approx. 13 stillbirths every year. Since I had Lucy in April, two more babies were born sleeping.

Little Angel Memory Boxes is registered charity and tax receipts are available.

Thanks everyone - we appreciate your support with this.
