Story
Dear Friends
In honour of our wonderful and amazing Gracie, who made the world a better place during her short but impressive years, we have committed to create a lasting legacy in the form of a scholarship.
Each March, commencing in 2019, the International Women's Day Illawarra committee, will award a $2000 scholarship to a local woman with a disability to achieve a goal of their choice. Perhaps they want to learn to drive, or complete a short course, attend an overseas conference relating to their diagnosis or even buy the wedding dress of their dreams. The options are endless and we would like Gracie to help them make a dream come true.
Sophie will present the award on behalf of her adored big Cissie.
We are happy to fund the yearly amount ourselves and have committed to this award for the years ahead. However, In lieu of flowers, we welcome donations towards this cause to hopefully fund the scholarship for a year or 3.
The money will be held in trust by Interchange Illawarra, who have DGR status, allowing donors to make a tax deductible gift, and forwarded to the IWDI Committee for disbursement.
Donations made through this platform are secure.
Thank you for assisting our family to ensure our girl is never forgotten and her legacy continues for years to come.
