Amilia Love & Zienna Hope Cairns
Story
Hi there!
I’m fundraising in memory of someone very special. I’m raising money for a cause that's close to my heart. Please support my efforts by making a secure online donation and by posting a message of support.
My husband Nick and I lost our first daughter at 20+1wks gestation and she was born still on 14/1/17 Amilia Love Cairns. She was our planned baby trying for a boy desperately. I don't understand how we lost her as we had 2 healthy girls before. But as the Dr said it was a 1 in million issue. So were like ok we couldn't changed what happened we just have to accept our loss. We the had to go thrugh the process of saying goodbye and planning Amilia's funeral. This is something I never thought I would have too do. Nick went on to make her casket that would be cremated with her pure love.
We followed drs instructions on medication to take ect. Had our 12 wk scan and everything was 100% perfect this time. They looked at everything possible to make sure things were 100%. So thinking and looking up we were excited to get an early morphology scan at 16 wks which we could the find out the gender which we all knew of course would be a girl as we don't do willys in this house ;) . So the day came to go to the scan. We were so excited to find out the gender I never really stop to think "hang on, lets just hope there's a heart beat". Well for some odd reason that morning I got that strange feeling of I hope there's a heartbeat.
Donations made through this platform are secure and will be remitted directly through to my charity of choice.
Thanks so much for your support!
Walk With Wings
Walk With Wings was established to raise awareness for Premature Babies and to offer support and understanding to parents during their journey through Neonatal Intensive care Unit and Special Care Nursery.
Kerry and James Norris formed Walk With Wings after their son Harrison tragically died suddenly in January 2013.
It has since become their mission to educate families of the risks associated with Preterm Labour and supporting families through their journey as Parents of a Premature Baby.
With the support services now provided by Walk With Wings, we are able to educate expecting parents on how they can help reduce the risks of having a baby born prematurely, provide practical support to parents who have a baby born before 37 weeks gestation and gift treasured hand and feet impressions to parents who have delivered their baby to early to small and too sick to stay.
Walk With Wings is able to provide all of their services free of charge to families in their time of need through generous donations from people just like you and with the help of our dedicated team of Volunteers.
