Story
I am fundraising to promote awareness and the research and development of a chronic autoimmune disease known as systemic lupus erythematosus. Also known as Lupus or S.L.E. In addition to this cause, now my life's purpose, I am honouring my amazing wife, of 17 years, who recently passed away at the Royal Melbourne Hospital after a gruelling 42 day battle with Lupus. My beautiful wife, known by friends and family and on social media as, Ben Zaa and Ben_Miscellaneous, was diagnosed with lupus in 2009.
This incurable and deadly disease wreaks havoc on the internal organs including the lungs, kidneys, liver, heart and brain. Lupus currently affects over 10 million people worldwide. In many cases, even with the appropriate treatment, can be fatal. There is no known cure. This debilitating disease destroys the lives of those battling against it on a daily basis and those obligated to care for those fighting along side. Please support my efforts by making a secure online donation or even posting a message of support. Any amount is appreciated. Ben's story is well documented on FaceBook and Instagram under:
#rememberben and #lupuswarriorben
I will be dedicating a series of commemorative videos on my YouTube channel dedicated to Ben and those fighting lupus today.
Thank you for your support and blessings.
Donations made through this platform are secure and will be remitted directly through the Lupus Foundation.
